Auditions for Ashland’s Holiday Show are open to 6th Graders through Adults.

This production will feature a small cast with solos, duets, and small group numbers from some of your favorite holiday songs. This one weekend show will be a great way to put you in the holiday spirit!

IMPORTANT CHANGE TO YOUTH PARTICIPATION FEES THIS YEAR:
It's been a difficult year and a half for everyone, and in response Ashland is thrilled to offer a “Pay What You Can” participation fee structure for youth participants in all feature shows this season (feature shows are defined as any production that includes adult performers). 

To sign up for Holiday Show auditions, please read all of the information below and then fill out the audition registration form. The audition registration form will be open until 11:59p on Sunday, October 31.

AUDITIONS OPEN TO:

6th Graders through Adults

CALLBACKS:

IF NEEDED, invited callbacks will take place in early November at the Maplewood YMCA (2100 White Bear Ave, Maplewood, MN).

AUDITION VIDEO SUBMISSION:

You will need to upload a link to your video audition on the audition form in order to submit. For your audition video, please include:

  • Slate: State your name, grade (if applicable), and title of song.

  • Song: Sing 32 bars of a musical theatre style song.

We recommend using a site like YouTube (make your video “unlisted”), Google Drive, or Dropbox to host your audition video. Your headshot and resume can be submitted on the audition form (headshot is required, resume is optional).

REHEARSAL DETAILS:

Ashland’s Holiday Show will have a limited rehearsal schedule. Rehearsals will be held weekends and weeknights from November 6 through December 16. Not all cast members will be called to all rehearsals.

CONFLICTS:

Conflicts will be taken into consideration when casting the show. A large number of conflicts or conflicts during the last week of rehearsals or during performances (December 13-19) may impact casting decisions.

REHEARSAL LOCATIONS:

Rehearsals will be held at the Maplewood YMCA (2100 White Bear Ave, Maplewood, MN 55109). Rehearsals may be held on the stage or in an alternate room at the YMCA. Exact rehearsal location details will be communicated in the rehearsal schedules.

TECH DATES:

Monday, December 13 - Thursday, December 16

PERFORMANCES:

There will be 1 weekend of performances. Dates are listed below:
Friday, December 17 (7p)
Saturday, December 18 (2p and 7p)
Sunday, December 19 (2p)

COVID-19 PROTOCOL

Ashland Productions is closely monitoring State & Local Guidelines. At this time, the following COVID-19 precautions are in place:

  • For Rehearsals and Performances: if a cast member would like to go unmasked, they must show proof of full vaccination to the Stage Manager for their records. This information will only be accessed by the Stage Manager and will be erased at the close of the show.

Anyone can remain masked for any reason, no questions asked.
